Absage von Fluidity Event in der KvU 

Wir als KvU haben die Entscheidung getroffen, das Solievent für die International Queer Pride nicht hier in dem geplanten Rahmen stattfinden kann. Aufgrund der antisemitischen Vorkommnisse der letzten drei Jahre auf der IQP und der Zusammenarbeit mit Gruppierungen wie „Palestine speaks“ und „Berlin against Pinkwashing“ können wir das das Spendenziel nicht unterstützen. 

Wir konnten uns mit Fluid Vision nicht auf ein anderes Spendenziel oder eine gemeinsame Sicht auf die Thematik einigen, was sehr schade ist. Wir unterstützen die queere Community und sind bestürzt, dass keine Einigung in der Thematik zu finden ist. 

Aussprüche wie „from to river to the sea“, die Israel das Existenzrecht und teilweise die Auslöschung Israels fordern sind für uns inakzeptabel. 

Wir setzen uns konsequent dafür ein, dass Antisemitismus und Rassismus nicht gegeneinander ausgespielt werden. Die KvU wünscht sich für Palästinenser*innen und Israelis gleichermaßen eine sichere Zukunft und friedliche Perspektive. Eine Zusammenarbeit mit Gruppen, die die Taten der Hamas feiern oder rechtfertigen ist für uns ausgeschlossen. Wir haben Mitgefühl mit allen Opfern dieses Konfliktes in Gaza und Israel. 

Cancellation of Fluidity Event at the KvU

We as KvU have made the decision that the solo event for the International Queer Pride cannot take place here in the planned setting. Due to the anti-Semitic incidents at IQP in the last three years and the cooperation with groups such as “Palestine speaks” and “Berlin against Pinkwashing”, we cannot support the donation goal.

We were unable to agree with Fluid Vision on a different donation target or a common view of the issue, which is a great pity. We support the queer community and are dismayed that no agreement can be found on the issue.
Statements such as “from to river to the sea”, which call for Israel’s right to exist and in some cases for Israel to be wiped out, are unacceptable to us.

We are consistently committed to ensuring that anti-Semitism and racism are not played off against each other. The KvU wants a secure future and peaceful prospects for Palestinians and Israelis alike. Cooperation with groups that celebrate or justify the actions of Hamas is out of the question for us. We sympathize with all victims of this conflict in Gaza and Israel.
